Check me out GQ.com!

German GQ has published an online gallery of mine on their website.
The title translates to "Flawless Filth".
I think I like it.

"Vegas, Baby!"

My friend Steve and I are currently in Las Vegas to shoot and chill out at my favorite hotel, The Artisan, which is probably one of Las Vegas' best kept secrets. A super mellow boutique hotel with nice rooms and a gorgeous pool. No slot machines here... hehe.
I shot Lee-Ann today, and this is a shot I took of her in the bathroom at the hotel. I had a great time shooting her, and Jessi did her makeup.

I'd post more, but my G4 Powerbook keeps crashing every 10 minutes for no apparent reason... if anyone happens to know why this is happening, please let me know! It's just really annoying.

The Nikopol Trilogy

I am a movie junkie. I watch tons and tons of movies, sometimes the worst films, you'd think.
I watched Immortel on DVD the other day.
I liked this movie very much and I am very intrigued by Enki Bilal, who directed "Immortel",which is an adaptation of his Graphic Novel "The Nikopol Trilogy".

You should take a look at the "Immortel" trailer if you get a chance.

Dirty Old Van :continued.

Today I shot my buddy Jeff in the Dirty Old Van.
The first polaroid I turned out to be a once exposed Polaroid from my shoot with Alejandra.
I was very amused by the double exposure.

I don't shoot boys as often as I shoot girls, so that's definitely interesting to me. I was hoping to get him to pee or do something else in that direction but he was too shy to do that on camera (hehe). What's up with you boys... ?
Bring it on!
At some point he even rearranged my strobes, and I thought that was hillarious.

The fuzz about Natalia or: "The $2000 an-Hour Woman"

A little less than a year ago the media was all over an unknown girl named Natalia, who gained fame for a scandalous
New York Magazine article titled: "New York's #1 Escort reveals it all".
(I'll try to get a bigger photo of this cover.... if you come across one, please let me know!)
The lengthy article described in every detail Natalias work as an escort and making large amounts of cash for sex, which is obviously illegal in most of the United States.
I wasn't happy when that magazine hit the stands. Natalia had been a very dear friend for over 6 years and I met her in NYC shortly after she moved there to become an actress in 1999.
Like many other girls like her, her path took a different direction. She quickly got herself in a downward spiral with her heroin and cocaine use. The saddest part of it is though, that she is possibly the sweetest girls you could ever come across, with a heart of gold, unlike most other girls in her situation. She's the kind of person who falls in love with people several times a day, and yet her life got so messed up.
Natalia loved the money and the sudden fame. She was suddenly seen on talk shows chatting about her escort "carrer".
Just a few weeks before that magazine hit the stands I spent about a week at her loft in New York and photographed her. The door was constantly ringing and reporters and photographers marched in and out 24/7. Cameras were running documenting her life.
I was a bit sceptical of all that activity. Natalia was not worried about any of this, whatsoever.
Her arrest shortly after her 15 minutes had passed, made the news almost as much as her public confession. The press ripped her into pieces, making fun of her for being so careless.
To most people she was a hooker, to others just another heroin addict.
To me she's a very dear friend and I hope from the bottom of my heart that she'll get on the right track again.

This photo was taken in February 2005 in Los Angeles:

Taschen preview: Jelena Jensen

This is one of the images that will be in Taschen's upcoming book (release date: Jan 2007) that will feature some of my work.
This photo was taken in 2004 at my friend James Willing's house.
Jelena Jensen is an awesome model and definitely one of my favorite girls to shoot.

The most vile, disgusting, and vulgar film of all time:The Aristocrats

I couldn't resist and had to rent The Aristocrats.
This is a documentary about a joke.
It is a joke only told by comedians to other comedians. The outline of the joke is that a man goes into an agent's office and says he has a family act. He then either acts out or describes the most obscene acts possible. The stunned agent says, "And what do you call yourselves?" and the man answers, "The Aristocrats."

My buddy Dana Gould is in it, too.
Definitely worth seeing if you like the dirtiest form of humor ever performed on camera!

Recap: Dana Gould

This is a photo from a recent shoot with comedian Dana Gould,
who is currently a writer for the TV show The Simpsons and headlines comedy clubs around town with his freakishly funny standup comedy. You should check it out , I highly recommend it. If you'd like to know more about Dana, check out his IMDB profile for more info!
We did this shoot at the "California Institue Of Abnormal Arts" in North Hollywood.
When I researched freak show/circus themed locations this was definitely the best place around. Check out their website to get a feel for the freakiness of that place!

Ronnie Coleman: Snapshot

This snapshot is from a shoot that I did for BSN after the "Mr. O" competition in Las Vegas, October 2005.
This is probably the worst shot one can take of a bodybuilder!
I still like this photo, though, because his expression is truly priceless.

BSN sure hated it...

Polaroid: Dirty Old Van

Here's a scanned polaroid from yesterdays shoot with Alejandra.

Dirty Old Van

Today I did a fun shoot with Alejandra in my friend Gene's dirty old van.
I did not hesitate using the diabled parking spot in the underground garage in Burbank at Gene's office.
Who would have thought that it'd give the photo such a nice touch?
Also, love the wood paneling inside the van!

More Justine ...

This is another photo from a shoot I did with Justine last winter.
Roshar did the amazing makeup on her and it took around 2 hours to apply the rhinestones to her face.

My Tribute to Evil

Stanton LaVey (grandson of the late Anton LaVey, who founded The Church Of Satan in 1966) is getting married tonight, and I'll be attending this beautiful fest of silly evilness.
A little earlier today I took this photo of my new gym buddy Eric Kroll:

Camera phones are evil, too... >; )

More Adriana Sage in the Desert

Today I got another roll of film back that I shot of Adriana Sage last month (I tend to stick exposed rolls of film in several different pockets of my equipment cases and sometimes things don't turn up for weeks).
I like the results on film much better, especially out in the bright desert light.
We were fighting an upcoming sand storm and could barely snap a few of these before we had to escape.
My digital camera had to be wrapped up in plastic as soon as the wind was blowing the sand into my camera case. Thankfully it didn't seem to bother my Pentax 6x7 very much. It's a rugged and reliable camera that has never let me down!

Justine

Justine is, without a doubt, one of my favorite models and she is great to work with. We have done numerous shoots together over the past couple of years.
I have taken these photos at my apartment in Hollywood in April. I love the smoking one of her, relaxing between sets.
Those are sometimes the cutest photos!

Obscure Finding :"Breasts" and "Private Dicks"

Some seriously obscure stuff I came across at the video store a little while ago. I snapped these with my camera phone.
Way too weird to keep this to myself!
; )

Flashback: Marti 2005

These are some photos I took of NYC based model Marti in Feb 2005.
One of the photos from this series will be in the upcoming book by Taschen that I am featured in.
Marti can also be seen in Mark Seliger's new book "In My Stairwell".
